RAISES $19,245 TO FIGHT BREAST CANCER
A CURE IN OUR LIFETIME Receives Contribution
Through The Stanley K. Tanger Breast Cancer Fund

to the Tanger
Outlet Center in Myrtle Beach last fall did much more
than just shop. Their outlet shopping trips to Tanger are
helping to fight breast cancer here in Myrtle Beach. Tanger’s
annual Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign which took place October
30 - November 20 raised $19,245.
The
money raised during this year’s campaign will benefit
the A Cure In Our Lifetime through the newly established Stanley
K. Tanger Breast Cancer Fund. A Cure In Our Lifetime is dedicated
to raising funds and providing financial assistance with medical
expenses to individuals in Horry and Georgetown counties affected
by breast cancer.
“We
are pleased to join A Cure In Our Lifetime in our mutual goal
to fight the terrible disease of breast cancer,” stated
Sherri Crawford, Marketing Director of the Tanger Outlet Center
in Myrtle Beach, SC. “The generous support that we received
from Tanger customers, our national retail partners including
Coach Factory Stores and from A Cure In Our Lifetime helped
make our campaign a big success. We must all remain committed
to this fight until a cure for breast cancer is finally found,”
she added.
Tanger’s Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign now in its
12th year nationally, raised money through a variety programs
at the Tanger Outlet Center. On Saturday, October 8th, Tanger
donated 1% of the entire shopping center’s gross sales
for the day to A Cure In Our Lifetime. In addition, money
was raised through the sale of commemorative Breast Cancer
Bracelets sales. Nationally, Tanger’s efforts across
the United States helped raise more than $450,000.
Tanger
Outlet Centers has a history of making a difference in the
communities it serves across the country. Since 1994, Tanger
has contributed in excess of $4 million to help create awareness
for the importance of early detection, to support educational
programs that can improve the quality of life for patients
and families and most importantly to help fund the research
necessary to find a method of prevention and a cure for breast
cancer.

To Funds...Area Sonic Drive-Ins will donate 25¢
to
A Cure In Our Lifetime for every Route 44 oz. drink sold in
September at the Conway, Florence, Marion, Myrtle Beach and
Surfside Locations.

Our
annual fundraising events seek to raise the overall awareness
of breast cancer and help a needful neighbor in their personal
struggle. By committing your support to this event we can
impact our community and bring about an awareness that will

Race For The Cure
One
of our premier events is A Night at the Races gala which features
an open bar all evening, plenty of food to fit the atmosphere,
and the best silent auction on the Grand Strand. Everyone
has the opportunity for door prizes and raffles. So put on
your most festive Kentucky Derby attire, and bet on having
a great night to help fight breast cancer! It will not only
be a night to remember, but a night we can all be proud to
participate in!
