Myrtle
Beach Pelicans vs. Salem Red Sox
7:05 p.m.
PHOTOS FROM THE EVENT
The Myrtle
Beach Pelicans and Caring In Our Lifetime teamed up to fight breast cancer by devoting an
entire night at the ballpark to the cause. On Saturday,
May 2, the Pelicans hosted their 4th annual “Pink
Ribbon Night,” an event dedicated to the battle
against breast cancer. During the game that evening,
the Pelicans wore pink jerseys as they took
on the Salem Red Sox. Throughout the night the limited-edition,
game-worn jerseys were auctioned off in an effort
to raise funds for Caring In Our Lifetime, a grassroots
organization helping women in the Grand Strand area
who are fighting breast cancer.
“This is an important night for all of us
especially considering that almost every one of
us has had a family member or a friend affected
by breast cancer,” said Pelicans General Manager
North Johnson. “We hope that our fans will
come out to the ballpark in force on May 2 to support
our efforts in helping Caring in Our Lifetime reach
their goals.”
