The
Myrtle
Beach Pelicans and Caring In Our Lifetime are teaming
up to fight breast cancer by devoting an entire night
at the ballpark to the cause. On Saturday, April 26, the
Pelicans will host their 3rd annual “Pink Ribbon
Night,” an event dedicated to the battle against
breast cancer. During the game that evening, the Pelicans
will don pink jerseys as they take on the Salem Avalanche.
Throughout the night the limited-edition, game-worn jerseys
will be auctioned off in an effort to raise funds for
Caring In Our Lifetime, a grassroots organization helping
women in the Grand Strand area who are fighting breast
cancer.
“This is an important night for all of us especially
considering that almost every one of us has had a family
member or a friend affected by breast cancer,” said
Pelicans General Manager North Johnson. “We hope
that our fans will come out to the ballpark in force on
April 26 to support our efforts in helping Caring in Our
Lifetime reach their goals.”
Along with the pink jersey auction, Caring In Our Lifetime
will be selling special pink baseballs and t-shirts to
commemorate the night with all proceeds going towards
the fight against breast cancer.
“We are excited to partner with the Myrtle Beach
Pelicans for this special event to help local breast cancer
survivors in Horry and Georgetown counties,” said
Marodith Flood, who serves as the Director of Corporate
Sponsorship for Caring In Our Lifetime. “Please
come out and support us on April 26!”
